Transitory residency covers short stays for a specific purpose. As a rule it does not allow work and does not grant a DNI, unless a subcategory or express authorization permits it. Whether you need a visa depends on your passport nationality and the purpose of the trip.
Stay of up to 90 days, normally extendable once for an equal period (the extension is requested within the 10 days before expiry). No work allowed. Visa exemption depends on nationality.
Up to 60 days. Corporate meetings, negotiations, trade fairs, investment scouting. It can be arranged through an entry permit (requested by a RENURE-registered sponsor) or a consular visa. It does not replace work or investor residency.
Up to 180 days, with a single extension for an equal period (maximum one year). For nationals of visa-exempt countries who work remotely for employers or clients based outside Argentina. It does not allow work for local employers or clients and does not grant a DNI.
Up to 3 months, extendable. Seasonal agricultural, agro-industrial or tourism activities.
Up to 10 days. Different from a passenger continuing their journey (maximum 12 hours in the international zone, no visa).
Up to 1 year depending on the program. For longer studies or an intent to settle, temporary student residency is more appropriate.
Variable term; usually requires a registered sponsor (RENURE).
For treatment that does not justify a longer stay.
